Fight for LIFE!

Luke 11: 23-26  23"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters. 24"When an evil[8] spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' 25When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. 26Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first."

Revelation 2  7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 2  17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. (Whole Chapter: Romans 12 In context: Romans 12:20-22)

Proverbs 2  1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; 2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;  3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. 7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.  You know it’s funny how we get hung up on certain words like those in verse 6 above about how His Word says “the Lord giveth wisdom” which He definitely does but we don’t consider the conditions that need to be in place for God to Give Wisdom to us. We also need to look at this “Giving” nature of God in context with the rest of God’s nature of Giving. Notice what has happened prior to God’s giving, that is the “IF” s and the “how to ask” s located in verses 1-4. We’re so quick to say yes to God’s good things without considering the costs involved. We will reap what we sow. Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.  (Whole Chapter: Galatians 6 In context: Galatians 6:6-8) And yet naming it and claiming it or blabbing it and grabbing it sounds so much nicer. Our very nature seems to be so very lazy! Here’s how our Heavenly Father feels about laziness: Matthew 25:26 "His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?” It’s so easy not to exert ourselves for we just do nothing. Unfortunately that doesn’t cut it with our Heavenly Father nor our own good. John 15:2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[ 15:2 The Greek for prunes also means cleans.] so that it will be even more fruitful. (Whole Chapter: John 15 In context: John 15:1-3) Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,[ 10:8 The Greek word was used for various diseases affecting the skin–not necessarily leprosy.] drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Our Lord has given to us Freely and His Heart’s desire is for us to reciprocate, (re·cip·ro·cate Pronunciation: ri-'si-pr&-"kAt Function: verb Inflected Form(s): -cat·ed; -cat·ing Date: 1607 transitive senses 1 : to give and take mutually 2 : to return in kind or degree <reciprocate a compliment gracefully> intransitive sensesas) as He has given to us. By so doing we are being transformed into His image for it’s not in the hearing of His Word alone that transforms us but it’s in the doing what He speaks to us that transforms us. Hearing produces Faith which produces Works of Righteousness which are works springing from a grateful heart. James 1:22-25   22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25   But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” The hearing of His Word produces Faith which produces Good works James 2 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? : Note: Good works from God’s perspective are works produced as a result of a grateful heart not out of a heart trying to earn His favor. So we as His people need to be diligent to “work” out our own salvation with fear and trembling. We need to learn how to pray and seek His face, learn how to pray for those who despitefully use us, learn how to forgive those who wrong us, learn how to keep our hearts and thoughts from looking upon and thinking upon sin. When the Lord wanted to get through our dull sense of hearing, He would tell us to look around at creation when He was trying to emphasis a Truth “Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: (Whole Chapter: Proverbs 6 In context: Proverbs 6:5-7)” And if we look around we’ll see that all of Life is a fight. From our first fight of being born to each and every day fighting diseases and the trials that each day brings Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Whole Chapter: Matthew 6 In context: Matthew 6:33-35). We must learn how to battle each day with our hearts yielded unto Christ and fight passionately and fervently unto His Glory, Honor, and Praise. We need to be aware that Jesus is coming back for Overcomers! Not for those being overcome. Yes, there is a death to our selfish will, but each day as we learn how to die to self, we also need to learn how to rise to newness of Life with Christ and LIVE! John 12:24 I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. (Whole Chapter: John 12 In context: John 12:23-25) Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Whole Chapter: Philippians 4 In context: Philippians 4:12-14) Our Loving Heavenly Father is trying to develop in our lives the Beauty of His Son! And, Beauty is not of our flesh, nor of our pocket books, it’s of our hearts and who we are and are becoming. We get so focused on the nature of God’s Heart to want to heal our bodies that we neglect the greater desire of God’s heart to heal our hearts.  Matthew 5:29 If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. (Whole Chapter: Matthew 5 In context: Matthew 5:28-30) We get so totally hung up on those things that are so very temporary. We think that spiritual maturity is evidenced through our “words of godliness” or through “workings of miracles”  when the greatest miracle is where a heart has come to know Chirst. Matthew 7:21-23 21   Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22   Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23   And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Confession with our mouths is so easy, and the supernatural is natural to satan. We need to learn how to Love God with sincere hearts that don’t want a half hearted walk with Him. We need to fully know that a body which is perfect, a mind that is very intelligent, and a pocket book that overflows, and the miraculous = zero when it comes to pleasing the Father’s Heart.

We need to realize that God doesn’t clean us up and set us free so that we can use our liberty to disgrace the One Who purchased our salvation. God will not be mocked! We need to fill our house with good things and that is with learning how to Love Him. If the tents of our hearts are not expanding in growth with Him then they are decaying under the works of satan against us. We are either missionaries for Christ or mission fields for satan. God is a Giving God for that is His nature. He gave to satan much power and authority and satan chose to take God’s blessings and focus on himself and now look where he is, on the edge of eternal torment.  Satan didn’t have the opportunity of receiving the Wonderful Gift of God’s Only Son given for him, he just had the bounties of God’s graciousness showered upon him. We too have had the bounties of God’s graciousness showered upon us with life and many blessings – BUT, How do you think God will be towards those who treat the Gift of His Son with such little respect especially those who have heard and do not respond with hearts of gratitude evidenced by an overcoming life. Is it any wonder that there is only eternal torment for such souls? And, what do I mean by “an overcoming life”? What I do not mean is one who is trying to be strong and resist satan and the torrents of lust on his own, but one who is learning how to draw near to God’s heart!  We need to overcome evil by good, Romans 12:21. We need to have the heart of Michael the archangel as seen in Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
(Whole Chapter: Jude 1 In context: Jude 1:8-10) We need to become less and He needs to become greater as John the Baptist said. The more of ourselves we loose in Him, the more we find ourselves. The more we die to ourselves, the more we begin to live. Luke 14:11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." (Whole Chapter: Luke 14 In context: Luke 14:10-12)

So, in conclusion, how do we fight for Life!? By learning how to submit our will to His, by learning that every gift of hearing His Word, understanding His Word and the wherewithal to live it is from Him and not ourselves. The Greater the yielding our will to His, the greater our Joy and Freedom and the Fight for Life will be won.
