When Life
is cut short amongst Believers

Main Thought: To examine ‘one of the reasons’ why sometimes those in
Christ do not live long lives here below
Kim Clement born Sept 30, 1956 passed
on Nov. 23, 2016
1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that
bread, and drink of that cup. 1Co
11:29 For he that eateth
and drinketh unworthily, eateth
and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the
Lord's body. 1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you,
and many sleep. 1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord,
that we should not be condemned with the world.
It seems
that those with the greatest responsibilities in Christ are held to a higher
standard of conduct; Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one
of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the
least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same
shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. And,
what greater responsibility than to be one who is a teacher or prophet of God’s
Word? 1Co 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire
spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. 1Co
14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown
tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth
him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 1Co 14:3 But he
that prophesieth speaketh unto men to
edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 1Co
14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown
tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the
church. And seeing that the one who prophesies
effects many of those who are trying to follow God, is it any wonder that they
are held to a higher standard?
All through the Word are examples of those
with great responsibility and upon being unfaithful with their responsibility,
were punished accordingly (usually an untimely death). 1Ch 13:9 And when they
came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon,
Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen
stumbled. 1Ch 13:10 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark:
and there he died before God. And a great leader who
could have been considered a prophet of our Lord was Moses. Notice how sternly
our Lord held him accountable; Num
20:8 Take the rod, and gather thou the
assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock
before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring
forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and
their beasts drink. Num 20:9 And Moses
took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him. Num 20:10 And Moses
and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto
them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? Num
20:11 And Moses lifted up his
hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out
abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. Num 20:12
And the LORD spake unto
Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the
children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the
land which I have given them. Notice the end result of
the disobedience of Moses by adding to what God did NOT tell him to do; Deu 34:4 And the LORD said unto him, This is
the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and
unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it
with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. Deu
34:5 So Moses the servant of
the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the
LORD. These are only two examples but there are
multiple examples all throughout our Lord’s Word to how important God considers
obedience to His Word and those responsible for His flock.
While this
penning is titled “When Life is cut short
amongst Believers”,
it’s only meant as
a ‘possible thought’ as to why this may happen especially to those in positions
of responsibility over many of God’s children such as Moses was. While Moses
life may not have had his life shortened, it was prevented from entering the
Promised Land that he so yearned for. And God’s Word doesn’t ‘hide’ the faults
of those who are His but He has put them In His Word for us all to learn from
those who have preceded us that we may learn from their mistakes and not make
the same ones for ourselves.
After
watching some videos concerning Kim Clement, I truly felt he was a man that
loved our Lord & King. In a video I recently
watched from Trey Smith titled “The LAST prophecy FUTURE of AMERICA 2017 ~
BEYOND a Trey Smith documentary”. In there, it had a video clip of Kim Clement
prophesying how there was to be a 7 year period of plenty like there was in
Egypt prior to the 7 years of famine. While I feel it’s dangerous for those
with the gift of prophecy to ‘stray’ from God’s Spirit in their prophecies, I
also feel it can be quite dangerous to ‘talk against’ those that had such
responsibilities. For like Paul himself says in God’s Word; 1Co
13:12 For now we see through a glass,
darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even
as also I am known. Love covers a multitude of sins and we all
should be very careful to not be too quick to judge those who claim Jesus as Lord & Savior.
After laying this groundwork, let me say
that I feel that those granted with positions over groups (many) of God’s kids
such as in Moses case that when God gave him a revelation to give to His kids, that he had better do it to the letter to what He asks
of him. Sometimes though I feel that if
God has used anyone in the past to bring forth revelations to His people, that
when given new revelation, that sometimes, our own nature wants to take the
lead and add to or subtract from what our Lord has asked us to relay to His
children. Now with that said, let me say that ‘this may have been’ what
happened with Kim Clement having accurately spoken God’s prophecy concerning
Donald Trump he then ‘may have’ elaborated a bit too much concerning the 7
years of plenty after which his life was soon cut short. This though is the
mercy of God as He states in 1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord,
that we should not be condemned with the world.
I personally feel (and my feelings have been
wrong since 2014 having felt that I wouldn’t even see Christmas of 2014 due to
having been raptured and yet here I still am!) that there will NOT be 7 years
of plenty but that soon God’s rapture is to happen and then 7 years of the
tribulation. But, time will reveal all things. One thing is for certain, the
wise virgins were continuously ready for the bridegroom to appear at any
moment, not a lengthy time period of plenty first, but then again, there may
be, but even if there is, we should be watching and waiting each and every
moment.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the rewards You have reserved for those responsible to accurately relay
Your heart to Your people. Please forgive us when we elaborate a bit more or
take away from what it is You desire us to say and or
do. Ever teach us to listen and follow near to Your heart so that we may
accurately relay Your heart to others for it’s in Jesus Glorious, Eternal,
Matchless Name we pray, Amen.
