Subject:                 The Timing of the Rapture

Reason Penned:  Due to two extremes about the ‘Timing of the Rapture’ One being ‘No one knows the day or hour’ The other being ‘God wants us to know’

 

First off a description of myself, I’ve walked passionately with the Lord now for 55 years who came to him as a 9 year old and am now just turning 64. I’ve been an intercessory prayer warrior 10 of those years and have learned much NOT from others, but from a personal loving relationship with the King of kings and Lord of lords. I feel that one of the greatest mistakes believers tend to make is NOT to ‘work out their own salvation with fear and trembling’ but allow others to do it for them. Php 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 

 

This discussion will be about Matt 24 and 25. And I ‘personally’ feel that Matt 24 is our Lord’s response to His Apostles and He is telling them MOSTLY about the end of the age (the time He actually returns to the earth to establish His Kingdom on earth), and Matt 25 verses 1-13 are our Lord’s own words put down as a parable in regards to the rapture at the 7 year point prior to the ‘end of the age’ where He actually returns to the earth.

 

I will share some of my ‘personal’ thoughts of course since we are ALL individuals and each of us are responsible for our own walk with Him. And, what I have seen these last 7 years from about 2014 until now are two different extremes while watching for our Lord and King. One being I feel is from the side of the ‘foolish virgins/Christians’ as mentioned in Matt 25 verses 1-13 and yes, I feel our Lord here is talking about Christians and NOT the world NOR the Jews because NEITHER one of these groups call Him Lord as is mentioned in verse at 25:11  Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 

And I feel that it is this group that tends to incorrectly rip God’s Word out of context from Matt 24 verse 36 to quote it to those passionately and eagerly watching and waiting for our Lord and King and don’t even consider that this verse follows and is in reference to verse 35 which has absolutely NOTHING to do in regards to the rapture, but they don’t care for they have decided to ‘join the group of foolish virgins/Christians’ who ONLY USE THIS as means of NOT agreeing with the wise ones.

 

In the camp of the ‘wise virgins/Christians’ I have noted two different groups. One feeling that we were meant to know the day and hour of His Rapture event, and the other feeling a bit more like how I feel and that is that the Heavenly Father does NOT intend to advertise when this event will be BUT, will do so ‘SHORTLY BEFORE IT IS MEANT TO HAPPEN’. And, this is in total agreement with what our Lord mentions in the parable that He Himself shares here Mat 25:6  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Mat 25:7  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. In other words, there is coming and event that BOTH the wise and foolish ones can NOT deny that the Lord will be in route to receive His bride.

 

So then what I’ve also noticed is how the ‘wise virgins/Christians’ are passionately and eagerly watching for that event through what is being called ‘High Watch Times’. And, what I’ve also noticed are those who are complacent just as the ‘foolish virgins were’ being the ones to rip OUT OF CONTEXT verse 36 of Matt 24 and misquote it to those of us who are watching passionately and eagerly for our Lord and King!  But if you think about it, they’ve got to do something to justify their own complacency so as NOT to allow conviction get to them for being so.

And they DON’T state that ‘This is it!’ but only point out the ‘High Watch Times’ as to times that He ‘MAY BE’ coming to rapture His bride.

Personally I feel that the Oil within the ‘Wise virgin/Christian’ Lamps is representative NOT JUST of the Holy Spirit but also a ‘passionate and eager’ expectation for our Lord and King. And why do I feel this way (which is different from MANY pastors and teachers of the rapture these days that feel that ALL Christians will be raptured)? It’s because our Lord Himself makes it very clear in the book of revelation after talking with all 7 of the churches in revelations 2 & 3 that while ONLY 2 churches were not told to repent or else that ONLY 1 church was told would be spared from the trial coming upon the whole world. Rev 3:7  And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; Rev 3:8  I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Rev 3:9  Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Rev 3:10  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Rev 3:11  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Rev 3:12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. Rev 3:13  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. And yet these pastors/teachers totally ignore this fact.

 

So then because of our Lord’s own words to Christians in Rev 2 & 3 and the few mentioned there that will be raptured (spared the trial coming upon the whole world) and the fact that the ‘foolish virgins’ mentioned in Matt 25:1-13 who then miss the rapture call Him Lord, Lord, is why I feel that the foolish virgins is representative of no group of people but foolish Christians who have become complacent with their expectancy of our Lord’s soon Catching Away of His bride so have learned very well to rip God’s Word out of context quoting Matt 25 verse 36 totally and completely incorrectly to those who ARE passionately and eagerly watching for Him.

 

So I pen this now in hopes that if you are a believer that is in the camp of complacent Christians that you repent now BEFORE that ‘Final Notification’ that the King is in route for then it will be too late to garner the necessary ‘passionate expectation’ that He is coming to receive to Himself.

 

So ANY channel that tries and state that there is actually a day for the ‘Looked for Rapture event’ like the channel ‘Humble Seeker’ recently did, I plan on ALWAYS to be watching but will share with the Youtube channel author that I will be watching but that IF a worldwide event doesn’t happen that BOTH the wise and foolish Christians are also aware that He is in route, I truly won’t be expecting it as I did recently with the author of the ‘Humble Seeker’. He then removed my VERY respective and loving comment. Once he did this, I truly did know that He was NOT speaking from our Father’s heart.

 

God’s Word is to be the ruler of ALL that we accept into our hearts, NOTHING ELSE should take precedence to that!

 

Joh 4:24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 

 

Heavenly Father, may You always help us to hear Your Heart by the Light of Your Word AND Your Spirit for it’s in Jesus Eternal, Glorious Name we pray, Amen.
