Once Saved,
Always Saved if –

One of the greatest
attributes of God is that when He made man, He gave us a choice as to who to
serve, Him or ourselves (which actually ends up being satan).
He made the angels that way, and He made us that way. Just because we come into
a saving knowledge of Jesus being the Son of God Who died for our sins and then
rose the third day doesn’t change the fact we’ve still got a choice. God never
removes that right that He has chosen to give each one of us. He didn’t remove
it from the angels that were even in His presence and knew first hand without
having to have faith the Glories of serving Him, what makes us think He will
remove choice from us having come into a saving Faith of Christ as Lord?
It’s amazing how popular
that thought (Once Saved, Always Saved) being preached and taught within the
Christian realm has taken hold for who doesn’t want a guarantee of eternal
life? And there happens to be some scriptures that they use to back it up as
follows; Romans 8:37-39 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 37 But in
all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved
us. 38 For I
am convinced
that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things
present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor
height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And “if” you read that
verse as it’s stated, it’s very, very true! Nothing will nor ever can separate
us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The very word
separate means to come between, God is NOT saying here that He is removing our
choice to walk away and yet that is how people are twisting God’s Word.
I can’t tell you the
amazing amount of references God’s Word is saying that IF you continue in the
Faith He has implanted in our hearts we will be saved. He mentions it in the
vine and branches concerning the branches that don’t bear fruit, He mentions it
in the wise vs the foolish virgins concerning not keeping their lamps full of
oil, He mentions to many of the churches in Revelation to “repent” or else
their lamp stand will be removed any yet “many” of those getting money to
preach God’s Word are telling their supporters that their eternal life is
guaranteed, yes but with the IF placed there as it should be!
I understand that it’s
natural, being raised in a dead religion that emphasizes the Truth of God’s
Word and not His Spirit, how the beauty of that teaching takes hold BUT, it is
NOT from God’s Word! To go from one extreme to the other is also wrong. Balance
is what the Heavenly Father desires not one-sided/lopsided teaching of His
Word.
As I pen these thoughts,
I feel an intensity that is quite huge and so I believe that this false
teaching is leading many souls into an everlasting hell due to allowing this
teaching to take them down the road of carnality and eventually a dead faith
thus dead relationship with Him.
One of the advantages I
have, is I’m NOT dependent on anyone’s agreement or disagreement with what I
have to say, so will speak my heart not with a slant on it so I can be
well-provided for. Unfortunately, many that preach are not in that same
situation and so will speak to please those they are speaking to. Notice I say
the words (many or most) because not all of God’s servants are speaking to
please men rather than Him.
Here’s where the rub
really gets irritating, when trying to share the Truth of God’s Word with those
who have accepted this lie (hook, line, and sinker), it’s nearly impossible to.
They’ve so wrapped their hearts around it (the lie) and then hardened their
hearts over it, they can’t hear it (the Truth of salvation) even though the
clarity of it is so evident in His Word. That is what truly fascinates me.
How the anger that will
flow from the Father’s heart to those with the responsibility to speak His Word
rather than their own.
There are many types of speaker of His Word, Those that will
study His Word for hours on end and preach it based on being paid to, then
there are those who study His Word hours on end because they love Him and speak
what He puts there to say. Speaking Truth is not always the easy path, in fact,
it’s usually the hardest path.
Yes, Once Saved is Always Saved IF, one desires it and keeps the
fire of Faith burning hot within their hearts, NO, if one does not.Hebrews 11:6 New American Standard Bible
(NASB) 6 And
without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God
must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek
Him.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the beauty of Your Word that is
not diluted by the efforts of man, may You ever help us see the passion of Your
heart for each one of us to be in a passionate, living, loving relationship
with Jesus as Lord. In Jesus Glorious Name, Amen.
