Main thought: to examine the joy of Heaven’s Liberty!
Living in the Liberty of Christ
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand
firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
(Whole Chapter: In
context: )
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (Whole
Chapter: In
context: )
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (Whole
Chapter: In
context: )
What would
you imagine to be ultimate freedom? Would it be the lack of care or concern for
our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs? I think so. Just as God is three
in One, being the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, so we too are three in one.
And, when each one of these parts of our makeup is free of care or concern,
then we are totally and completely free. Those who meet Christ as their Savior
are the ones in this world who are truly free, for we are more than flesh and
blood, or people with emotional needs, or even spiritual ones. And, out of
these three areas of our lives, the most important one is Spiritual, for out of
all three of these; the one that leads to life everlasting is the spiritual
relationship we develop with Christ that will be our entrance into Glory. Just
as the most important part of us in this life is the physical birth of our
bodies, so the most important part of our being in regards to Heaven will be
our relationship with Christ. No wonder Christ said it is better to enter into
Heaven with only one arm or leg than to enter into hell with both; -48
If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed
than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better
for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is
better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes
and be thrown into hell, (Whole Chapter: In
context: )
It seems that those who
are rich in their flesh tend to be poor in their spiritual one, and, vice
versa, those who are rich in their spiritual being tend to be poor in their
physical one. While this isn’t necessarily always so, it tends to be true the
majority of the time. Why, because the way of the flesh wars against the way of
the spirit just as it did starting with Adam and Eve who fell for Satan’s lies
to “Be like God”.
It seems that the freest people on earth are not those
seeking to be in control, but those who have yielded their control. That must
be why the Lord refers to us like sheep; Psalm 78:52
But he brought his people out like a flock; he led them like
sheep through the desert. (Whole
Chapter: Psalm 78 In
context: Psalm 78:51-53) and another one being Isaiah 53:6 We all, like
sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has
laid on him the iniquity of us all.
(Whole Chapter: Isaiah 53 In
context: Isaiah 53:5-7)
Is it any wonder then
that the whole world will end up following the anti-Christ who will have
everyone take the mark of the beast so that they may buy and sell? Even now,
many supermarkets are saying “use our card and save money”. Is there any doubt
what is being done with your card? Everything that you purchase with their card
is being monitored. Now they have a chip that is placed in certain vehicles
that monitor everything you do while driving. It seems that we’ll surrender
anything in our lives in the name of security for our flesh without any regards
to our eternal welfare. They say that you can boil a frog to death if you heat
the water slowly. Even now the world is getting use to others knowing everything
there is to know about us. When the time comes for the mark of the beast,
people won’t have any problem with it. There will be an incredible freedom by
surrendering to this mark, but only for this world and only for a very short
time.
The freedom that every life should be seeking for is not one
that is here and gone, but is FOREVER! We get so entangled with our bodies of
clay, our pocket books, and our knowledge, that we miss the most important
knowledge of all time and that is knowing Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:21 For
since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God
was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who
believe. (Whole Chapter: 1 Corinthians 1 In
context: 1 Corinthians
1:20-22) No
one will ever come to know God through their own intellect, through what they
see with their eyes, touch with their hands, smell with their nose or taste
with their tongue. Heaven will not be occupied with those who have not the
Faith of God in His Son. The flesh of man is what has gotten us into trouble in
this life and it’s only the spirit of man that trusts in Christ that will be
what saves us. The flesh says, “Do as much as you can to Be Like
GOD!” the spirit that has been born again says “I can never do enough to be
like God, Lord Jesus save me a sinner.”
Yes, heaven will have its heroes. But unlike this world’s
heroes that may be proud of their gifts, Heaven’s heroes will be those who have
learned the joy of surrendering to the One Who Is Life. The greatest in Heaven
will be the ones most emptied of themselves.
How do we obtain the freedom that is of God? Through the only
way possible, through Faith in His Son!
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (Whole
Chapter: In
context: )
AND,
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (Whole
Chapter: In
context: )
Freedom, not
of this world that is here and gone, but of God through faith in His Son is the
truest freedom there is!
Heavenly
Father, Thank you that Life is In Your Son. Teach our hearts to spend time
listening to His voice that You may ever transform us
into His image that we may be truly free. In Jesus Eternal, Glorious Name,
Amen.
