In The
Fullness of Time

Thought: To examine how God determines ‘when’ to do His
Will
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his
promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not
willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time
was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Dan_2:47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it
is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a
revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal
this secret.
Amo_3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
Within
the ‘Christian’ community there seems to be two camps of thought;
1.) The Lord could rapture His bride at ANY moment
2.) The Lord has a set time in which He plans on
removing His bride
God’s
Word is perfect, where the problem comes from and why there are different ‘camps
of thought’ as to when Jesus is to remove His bride is NOT because of His Word
BUT because of our ‘understanding’ of it or interpretation of it. Just as the
great Apostle Paul said; 1Co 13:12 For
now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part;
but then shall I know even as also I am known. And
so that’s why even within the ‘Christian’ community there are so many different
understandings which is why it’s wise for those who claim Jesus as Lord to be ‘teachable’
or to remain pliable so that God the Holy Spirit may ever grow us into the
image of Jesus our Lord and King. Where the problem arises is when we become
staunch or hardened into whatever understanding we’ve grown into without remaining
pliable like leather by which the Holy Spirit may ever cause us to grow.
While I look at these two ‘camps of
thought’ I examine my own heart (as we all must do) to see which camp I would
lean to. And to do that, I not only use the many teachings of God’s Word that’s
been shared over the years, but I also examine these thoughts against the ‘nature’
of God as He has displayed throughout His Word. As I look at God, I see that He
ALWAYS has logic in what and when He does anything! And, That He never just
does ANYTHING on a whim as mankind would. So based on these displayed
attributes of God, I would have to say that there is definitely an exact time
or moment in which His Son is to remove His bride from this planet.
1Th
4:13
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren,
concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have
no hope.
1Th
5:2
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the
Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and
safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with
child; and they shall not escape.
1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in
darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
1Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light,
and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let
us watch and be sober.
1Th 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in
the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the
breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain
salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
And,
while ‘certain scriptures’ of God’s Word seems to make it clear concerning the
rapture or the catching away of His bride, (I say this because Matt 25:1-13 is
the clearest Parable I see that Christ Himself spoke of that I believe is ‘directly’
related to the rapture which He shares His response to those NOT ready in verse
13), that the ‘exact’ date of this event is unclear. And yet, God’s Word ALSO tells us that the ‘coming of
the Son of man’ shall be like it was in the days of Noah; Mat_24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man
be. AND,
Luk_17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. And when you combine these Words of our Lord
ALONG WITH His Words as shared in the parable of the rapture of Matt 25:1-13 each
instance shows that there is a very slight advance warning given to those
waiting for God’s event of escape to happen. These different scripture
references are shared following with one being annotated as ‘The Rapture
Parable’ and the other as “As in the Day so Noah text”. Please take note that in BOTH instances there
is a very slight advance warning given to those waiting for the escape. Also
while reading these references notice that it appears that this final notice
seems to be so near the actual date and/or time of the event (escape) that it’s too little to prepare for it, so
that at that time it is announced, one is actually ready (a wise virgin) or isn’t
( a foolish one).
The Rapture Parable
Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the
bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Mat 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
Mat 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil;
for our lamps are gone out.
Mat 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be
not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for
yourselves.
Mat 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they
that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
As in the Days of Noah
text
Gen
7:1
And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy
house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this
generation.
Gen 7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens,
the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the
male and his female.
Gen 7:3
Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive
upon the face of all the earth.
Gen 7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon
the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have
made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
So, based upon God’s Word and NOT the
teaching of man, it appears that there is a very slight notification given as
our Lord Himself speaks of, BUT, it is sooo little
time, it is too little time to be any benefit to UNLESS one has already been
prepared BEFORE that notice was given.
I share the ‘importance’ to be
actively watching for this Blessed event (the Rapture or Catching Away) for
those with eyes to see and ears to hear (the wise virgins) so that WHEN that
time is finally revealed, those that have been watching as He commands us to
do; will be ready to go!
Mat_24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Mat_25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein
the Son of man cometh.
Mar_13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house
cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Luk_21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray
always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall
come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
1Th_5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but
let us watch and be sober.
1Pe_4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be
ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Rev_3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and
repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and
thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
And, while that Blessed event will
end up being like a thief in the night for the foolish virgins, those that have
been waiting and watching for it, it won’t be, for it was expected and hoped
for LONGINGLY for those who are wise in Christ Jesus our Lord & King!
Heavenly
Father, the end of all things is very, very near, may all those who claim Jesus
as Lord & King be ever watching and waiting for Him for it’s in His
Glorious, Eternal, Matchless Name, the Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
